The Gardens Between is an adventure/puzzle video game developed by Australian studio The Voxel Brokers and printed in September 2018 for Windows, macOS, Linux, Nintendo Swap, and PlayStation 4. It was later launched for Xbox One in 2018, iOS in 2019, Android in 2020, and PlayStation 5 in 2022. The sport, which conveys its story by visuals and gameplay rather than dialogue or narration, follows two children, Arina and Frendt, within the treehouse in a garden between their homes. The Gardens Between won the "Sport of the Yr" award on the 2018 Australian Sport Improvement Awards, a 2019 Apple Design Award, and the "Best Puzzle Recreation" award at the 2019 Webby Awards, and was nominated for a number of different awards. Critics praised the game's artwork style and gameplay, as effectively because the wordless characterization of the two protagonists, although some discovered the puzzle problem uneven or the plot shallow.
